Pizza Casa August 21



Have you ever wanted to make a pizza at home that will have your family talking? Not a pizza "kit" but a real, authentic Italian Pizza. The Pizza Casa course will teach you how to do just that.

Attendees will learn how to shape the dough, top the pizza with fresh ingredients and cook it using a residential pizza oven. Throughout the course the instructor will be making pizzas for demonstration and tasting. This means there will be lots of pizza to eat - so come with an empty stomach! Non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.

Each class will start with a brief introduction by the pizza maker, their relationship with pizza and some history on pizza. A brief lecture will explain how flour is selected for pizza making and how water (hydration) affects the dough. From there each student will be provided with a portion of dough that they will learn how to shape into a dough ball, then hand stretch to form the base of their pizza.

This classes is focused on maximizing the hands on experience. Learning how to use the equipment, divide and shape the dough, choose toppings and bake your pizzas!
